The people I was with and I rented a large cottage in the mountains for our winter getaway, and the people I was with and I found the advertisement online, plus it promised seclusion with hunting plus ice fishing chances nearby.
Neither my hubby nor I were entirely interested in hunting or ice fishing, but both of us wanted pictures. The people I was with and I are both nature photographers, myself and others by vocation plus my hubby by interest, plus both of us were entirely intrigued with the change of scenery this cottage had to offer… So, both of us rented it for more than one weeks. The cottage was a rustic building with a large brick fireplace plus wood burning stoves or oil gas furnaces or whatever they are. It was entirely inconvenient to have to keep the stoves plus fireplaces stoked in order to stay warm. The people I was with and I couldn’t do that because fantastic pictures require long hikes sporadically. But, to be honest, both of us had only walked plus taken pictures the first more than one afternoon. The change of scenery was not all that it was cracked up to be because everything was covered in snow. But, both of us did spend quite a bit of time outside, walking, sledding, playing like kids. The people I was with and I even built a snowman plus some snow forts plus had a snowball fight. But, everytime both of us decided to go too far from the cottage for too long, both of us had to deal with a frigid cottage when both of us got back. I was frustrated with the owner; Every afternoon both of us woke up frigid plus stayed that way until the fires heated up the place, then and this was a big cottage, keeping the fires stoked was a lot of work. After about five days of this, I decided to text the owner about our unhappiness, and he texted myself and others the location of the thermostat! Apparently, the cottage was actually heated with these amazing radiant floors plus both of us had just assumed the worst. I was so insanely embarrassed.
