What does that even mean?

It’s not the heat, of course it’s the humidity, is what people say around here, but let myself and others explain to you exactly why that irritates the heck out of me! It’s partially because it’s such a cliche, so many stupid people say it without thinking about it, and it truly doesn’t mean a single thing, just something dumb neighbors say when they can’t think of anything else to utter; Also, it’s just plain wrong, because the heat and the humidity have everything to do with one another they are hard to keep separate, but you can trust me, because I honestly task with Heating as well as A/C equipment for a living, with a focus on natural heat transference.

Let myself and others explain what that means, and what it has everything to do with cooling down your lake house the most efficient way; Every exterior wall in your lake house transfers heating in some way, although uncommon materials transfer it readily at uncommon rates. Let’s say you have a huge picture window facing the day sun, and then one day you notice that room is heating up a lot at the same time every single day. You have to run the A/C at full blast, and it still doesn’t sufficiently cool down this single room, however that’s because the direct heat of the daylight is heating up the window, and therefore the whole room, and hanging up heavy draped and using tinted windows will actually help to slow down the rate of heating in this room; For people who live in apartments, though… they may have to run their air conditioner all the time, just to try and combat the ongoing heat transference they are getting from all around them.
