I cannot wrap my head around why people would still have a basic thermostat.
My mind is even more blown when I find out that some people even still have dial thermostats.
Those things are so old they might as well be from 100 years ago! I suppose you can say it’s just my opinion, but I think that people need to keep up with the times and focus on having the latest technology. I mean why would you want to live in the Stone age? There are a few exceptions to this of course, my elderly grandparents could never figure out how to use one, even though I tried multiple times to show them how to set up their brand new smart thermostat. The reason that it surprises me so much that some people still have these old and outdated thermostats is because with the modern technology that we have available, why would someone really choose to keep something old? I was having a conversation with my friend about this and she made a suggestion that some people might prefer their old thermostats and do not need the latest technology despite all the benefits that having a smart thermostat can have, she also added some people may not be able to afford it. Her reasons made sense but after I had my brand new smart thermostat installed 3 months ago I have not been able to get enough of it and I could never imagine myself going back to the thermostat that wasn’t programmable. I just love the convenience of being able to control my temperature from wherever I’m at simply by using an app for my smartphone. My thermostat is really awesome and can run off the Wi-Fi so I can even control it when I’m not even home. It has been great for me and I hope that maybe other people will see how great it could be for them too.
