If it gets hot outside the thermostat will cause the air conditioning to go on
I recently started a new job in a different building. I basically left my old job because the money was better at this new one. Even so, I have found another benefit that I did not even think of. That is the comfortable nature of the building I work in. Although our building is quite crowded, and we have even had to use cubicles, it is still more comfortable than where I used to work. The reason? the heating and cooling system! The HVAC unit at my old building really left a lot to be desired. My boss was always hot, and no matter how low he set his thermostat, the office never got cool enough in the summer. Because of that, he would take my thermostat and set it extremely low so that some of the cold air would transfer into his office. That meant I was freezing. Anyway, my new office has embraced modern HVAC technology. They claim it saves money, and it probably does, but I’m not sure about that. The thing I am sure about is that I am happy with the heating and cooling system. The facilities manager says that all he has to do is set the thermostat. If it gets hot outside the thermostat will cause the air conditioning to go on. If it gets cold outside the thermostat will cause the heating to go on. I believe him because one day and we had had hot weather for several weeks in a row, and then one night it got quite chilly. I opened up the front door and I could feel the heater straight away.
