Ever since Halloween, it has been quite chilly around here.
- Every once in a while we have a day where air conditioning is necessary, but for the most part, the days are cool and the evenings are even cooler.
I have been enjoying leaving my air conditioner off during the day. When I go to work, I simply make sure the thermostat is set to off and I don’t worry about anything. My dog is home oh, but I know she will be comfortable even without any kind of heating or Cooling. During the summer, and really right up until Halloween, I would have never done that. I would have been afraid that without air conditioning my dog would have had heat stroke while I was gone. This is because I live in the Southeast. Here in the Southeast it gets blazing hot during the day. Everyone here has air conditioning. In fact, it is illegal to build any kind of building without proper Heating and Cooling. This has not always been the case. I can remember being a kid living even farther south than I do now, and not having any air conditioning in the school. Anyway, I have really been enjoying the cooler weather. Then, this morning, I woke up and discovered the thermostat was reading a pretty high temperature. In fact the thermostat said it was 83 degrees in my house! I was quite saddened by this, as I felt the need to turn on the AC. There Goes My really low Heating and Cooling Bill! I’m hoping that tonight the colder weather is back and I can live without my AC once again.
