It was Thursday morning and we had just gotten to the office when our supervisor told us about the politician’s retreat that would be happening the following week.
We planned how we would handle the reception to the politicians. They had chosen our hotel and we needed to ensure that they were right in doing so. Our supervisor delegated the duties to each of us. I was responsible for ensuring our guests enjoyed quality heating and we only had about a week to do that. The first order of business was to schedule a furnace/heater tune-up on the current electric furnace at the hotel. The HVAC supplier’s stock of the particular component had run out. Most of the other local homeowner solutions did not have the product. The soonest they could restock would be in two weeks which was way past the due date. Time was fast running by and we needed to finalize the issue. I spoke to my heating contractor friends who linked me to this heating business miles from our town. They had the heating equipment in stock and could have it delivered within a day. This company quite literally saved my career. We finished the preparations just in time for the retreat. Everything went smoothly during the five-day retreat as we offered top-quality comfort.
