The other day a neighbor of mine was talking about a baseboard heater! They had an old that was almost 40 years old and they wanted to get a new one, but I never heard of baseboard heating systems before, at first I thought he may have been talking about a ductless mini split cooling system plan that was converted into a full on ductless mini split heating and cooling unit.
But that was not the case.
I looked up some of these baseboard heating systems online and they were quite interesting! I did not know how useful they could be. After looking at them and what they can do, I think I may buy one myself. They are the same concept as a portable space heater but they are not portable and they mount on the baseboard of your rooms in your home. The energy use is still less than running a central heating and cooling system unit, so you get some kind of savings with these baseboard heaters! My neighbor is going to buy a new one and I think I am going to buy more than 2 for the first time. I will be putting one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I will buy 2 different kinds of baseboard heaters. One to cover a greater area which is more costly and one to cover a small area for the bedroom which is cheaper. I think this form of heating will be good for me this winter with as cold as it is going to get. It will save me from having to run the central heat and a/c unit.
