The other day a neighbor of mine was talking about a baseboard heater.
- They had an old one that was almost 40 years old and they wanted to get a new one, and I had never heard of baseboard heaters before.
At first I thought he may have been talking about a ductless mini split a/c unit that was converted into a full on ductless mini split heating and cooling unit, but that was not the case. I looked up some of these baseboard heating systems online and they were quite interesting! I did not know how useful they could be. After looking at them and what they can do, I believe I may buy one myself. They are the same concept as a portable space heater however they are not portable and they mount on the baseboard of your rooms in your home. The energy use is still less than running a central heating and a/c unit, so you get some kind of savings with these baseboard heaters. My neighbor is going to buy a new one and I believe I am going to buy two for the undoubtedly first time. I will be putting one in the kitchen area and one in the home office. I will buy two kinds of baseboard heaters. one to cover a greater area which is more expensive and one to cover a small area for the home office which is cheaper. I believe this form of heating will be great for me this winter with as cold as it is going to get. It will save me from having to run the central heat and a/c unit.
