The other day a friend of mine was talking about a baseboard heater! They had an old one that was almost 40 years old and they wanted to get a new one.
I never heard of baseboard furnaces before, but at first I thought he may have been talking about a ductless mini split air conditioning machine that was converted into a full on ductless mini split heating and cooling unit.
But that was not the case. I looked up some of these baseboard furnaces online and they were quite interesting! I did not know how useful they could be. After looking at them and what they can do, I think I may buy one myself. They are the same concept as a portable space heater but they are not portable and they mount on the baseboard of your rooms in your home. The energy use is still less than running a central heating and A/C machine unit, so you get some kind of savings with these baseboard heaters, and my friend is going to buy a new one and I think I am going to buy two for the very first time. I will be putting one in the living room area and one in the bedroom I will buy 2 kinds of baseboard heaters. One to cover a greater space which is more expensive and one to cover a small space for the bedroom which is cheaper. I think this form of heating will be relaxing for me this winter with as cold as it is going to get. It will save me from having to run the central heat and air conditioner unit.
