I am grateful that I have relocated to a state with mild winters.

There are a few occasions when low temperatures occur, but they are rare.

Winter days are typically between 60 and 65 degrees in temperature, and colder days can reach 40 to 55 degrees. I find this amazing since when I lived in the North, my average highs and lows were in the mid-20’s, so I used my heating system every single day. Since I now live in the south, I rarely turn on the heat. I am not sure how many people in our state use their heat in the Winter, but I’d rather not have it. The winter is the time of year when I wear extra clothes at home, and I also wear cozy fleece socks to keep my feet warm. The cost of heating has increased dramatically over the past few decades, and central heating uses a lot of energy. So I am glad I will be able to avoid using it, resulting in a reduction in my energy bill. As a result, in the Summer I use my central a/c almost every day because of our extremely hot weather. During the summer, the temperature averages about 92 degrees every day, and I have not been able to avoid using our air conditioner. Therefore, I know that the savings I make in the Winter are used to cool our beach house in the summer. I would say it’s a break-even situation.
