I don’t use my heat all Winter and I survive it with no issues

I am grateful that I moved to a state that does not have brutally cold Winters.

Sure, there are days where the temperature does drop below normal, but those days are far and few in between.

On a regular day in the Winter, the temperature hovers between 60 to 65 degrees, and on colder days, we might see temperatures between 40 and 55 degrees. This is amazing because when I lived up North, we had average temperatures in the mid to high 20’s during the Winter, which means that I used my heat every single day. But now that I live in the Southern part of the country, I barely turn on my central heat. I don’t know if other people living in my state use their heat in the Winter, but I know that I survive just fine without using it. During the Winter, I wear extra clothing in my home, and I also keep my feet warm by wearing cozy socks made from fleece material. Over the years, heating costs have skyrocketed, and using central heating consumes a lot of energy. Therefore, I am glad that I get to skip using it, which in turn saves money on my energy bill. On the flipside, I use my central air conditioning every day in the Summer because the weather can be brutally hot here. On average, the temperature is about 92 degrees every day, and I have not yet found a way to avoid using my air conditioner. So, I guess the money I save in the Winter goes right back into cooling my home in the hot Summer months. I will just consider this breaking even.
