I live in a little duplex and I share a courtyard out back with my next door neighbors.

I love my little house even though it’s nothing special.

I think that one day I will try and buy this place from my landlord, but for now I am happy renting. One thing I love about my little house are the animals that live outside. There are a few cats that roam around in our backyard and I love to keep an eye on them each day. My favorite cat is a black cat and she will come and sit by my window every afternoon when it starts to get really hot outside. At first I thought the cat was coming to sit by my window because she liked me, but then I realized it was only because she liked to sit on my AC window unit. Since my house is so small, I don’t have central HVAC so my landlord installed AC window units in both the houses. I don’t mind the AC window unit because the house is so small and it does a pretty good job of cooling down my house everyday. However, I think that the cat that lives outside might like my AC window unit even more than I do because she comes up to it every single day and just lays there. I’m sure it feels nice to have the air conditioner blowing on her and I don’t mind the company at all.
